The 5 minute walk to its station, Walking distance to many key sights as well as good restaurants and cleaning looks immaculate
-
Trafalgar square was in close proximity to the hotel. The best base for exploring London.
-
Excellent breakfast, beautiful bar
Room was a little small
-
Excellent location
No real bathroom door
-
The entire staff was extremely friendly and courteous! The room was very clean, quiet and well heated. The beds are very, very comfortable. The breakfast buffet exceeded all expectations. Perfect location for sightseeing!

Everything!
Minnibar was locked!
-
A great hotel with very good facilities in a perfect location for exploring London with very friendly and courteous staff.
The price-performance ratio and service at breakfast still has potential.
-
Staff were very cheerful and went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Beds very good. Room quiet.
Roux brasserie was remarkably poor in quality of food at dinner. Staff serving were very attentive and concerned when complaint was made about food, but there is obviously no direction from M. Roux in the kitchen. The quality of the a la carte menu was little different to the cheap pre theatre menu. We tried both with regret. Air conditioning a problem with our room.

We had a lovely week-end stay at the Sofitel London st James. The location is great, staff all very friendly .We had a really nice room and the bed was so comfortable.
-
excellent hotel, fantastic location, all staff and services very professional!
-
Based upon the excellent reviews that the Sofitel StJames received I booked one night for me and my friend. We had the most amazing time, the hotel is fabulous and you will be totally surprised at its central location. Very very good
-
This was my second time at Sofitel St James,I was still surprised by the amazing treatment as the kindness they treat their guests.I had been to some other Sofitel Hotels in Europe,I do find this one from far the best one of any other I had been before.Regarding the team attention to any guest's needs, trying to give us the best confort we could dream.Every single evening a musician plays beautifully bringing the most romantic atmosphere..As a frequent traveller,I do recommend it for an unforgetable scape in London.
-
The staff were amazingly helpful and the beds were sublime. Location was most convenient for walking in local parks, getting to usual tourist sites and public transport. Would recommend this hotel without reservation and with fullest enthusiasm.
-
The staff were excellent - very personable, friendly, and looking for ways to enhance your visit. The location was superb. The room was fabulous. Beautiful and luxurious fittings. Wonderful shower! The reason I chose Sofitel was because my Mum, sister and I all wanted to share a room and there were few hotels that could accommodate us - we had a junior suite at Sofitel and it was very comfortable for the three of us. I would definitely recommend Sofitel to friends. It was pricey but the service and overall experience was second to none.
We were disappointed to find the restaurant was closed for refurbishment when we got there. If I had realized that when booking, I possibly wouldn't have booked this hotel, but in fact they did a reasonable job of coping without it.
